JAWRA Cover Photos

Show the JAWRA Cover Photo on Your Desktop!

INSTRUCTIONS: (Windows) Click to see the full-size image, then right-click and choose "Save image as" to save it (e.g. in My Documents/My Pictures). In Control Panel, open Display and choose the Desktop tab. Browse to the image you just saved and choose it. For position, choose "stretch." The picture is sized to fit a 1280 by 1040 screen.

Send Us Your Photos!

We will consider photos sent by AWRA members for the cover of JAWRA. The photos must be of water, have artistic merit, and must meet the following specifications:

• The JAWRA cover photo is 6-3/4 in. wide and 4-3/4 in. high at 300 dpi, or 2025 x 1425 pixels (approx. 3 Megapixels).
• IN ADDITION, we recommend you submit a version 1280 pixels wide and 1040 pixels high for the desktop background. (We will insert the AWRA logo in a corner.) If you don't submit this, we will crop your cover photo to fit these dimensions.
• ALSO IN ADDITION, we recommend you submit a full-resolution version for possible use in a calendar.
• Submissions must be in Jpg or Photoshop (preferred) format.
• Advanced photographers may also want to submit the cover photo (not the desktop background) using the CMYK color space. You may need to adjust the colors, but they will print better.

In submitting a photo, you assert you took the picture and own the copyright, and you give AWRA unlimited, nonexclusive right to use the photo for any purpose related to AWRA's mission. There is no payment for photos, only photo credit and bragging rights! Editor's decisions are final.
