Tour of Confluence Park
Sunday, Nov. 15
1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Cost: Free

Join us for a tour of Confluence Park, located at the confluence of the South Platte River and Cherry Creek in Downtown Denver. Confluence Park is a great example of how organizations can work together to make a working river both enjoyable and resilient. This tour will be an informative walking tour of part of Downtown Denver, with information provided by Jeff Shoemaker of the Greenway Foundation, Denver Water staff, and others regarding the work being done on Confluence Park.

The work done at Confluence Park has helped turn a neglected river corridor into an area with environmental and recreational assets that attracts visitors to the river corridor. Additional work is planned for the South Platte Corridor throughout downtown Denver.

Field Trip Departs from the Hyatt Hotel at 1:00 PM and returns by 5:00 PM. We'll walk two blocks from the hotel to the 16th Mall free shuttle, and walk about another 3 blocks from Union Station to Confluence Park.

Cost: Free - but please register for this event on the Conference Registration Form. If you have already registered for the conference, just send a sign up request to Jacque@awra.org
