The Loews Hotel will serve as the conference venue. This hotel, located in the first skyscraper ever built in Philadelphia, is located at the heart of the city. It is conveniently located 5 minutes from the Amtrak 30th Street Station and 15 minutes from the Philadelphia Airport (train available from airport). There are many restaurants within walking distance, including the Reading Terminal Market. Other attractions, such as the Liberty Bell and Independence Mall State Park, Philadelphia City Hall, Philadelphia’s Penn’s Landing waterfront on the Delaware River, and some of Philadelphia’s finest restaurants are within a short walking distance. You’ll want to extend your visit to Philadelphia to take advantage of some of its unique sights and experiences.
The conference will include oral and poster presentations, plenary speakers, panels, field trips, short courses, networking events, and student activities. The Call for Abstracts will be available on this website February 2010 if not sooner so keep checking back at www.awra.org. Contact the conference co-chairs
Kathy Hale (NJ Section) or
