Program Information

The Conference Proceedings will be made available to conference attendees and the general public on the AWRA website at the time of the conference and for 3 months after that date. After that it will be moved to the AWRA Members Only page.

Important Due Dates

Jan. 30, 2012 Proceedings Papers Due Online for Review. Author Agreement forms due.
Feb. 27, 2012 Notify Pat Reid of any changes in presenters, authors, titles of presentations for the final program. If you can’t attend the conference and there is no alternate presenter, then you must contact Patricia Reid, AWRA, pat@awra.org by this date or you will be billed the appropriate registration fee.

March 5, 2012 Conference registrations are due for all presenters.Early-bird registration fees will be $425 (members) and $525 (non-members) up until 3/5/12. After 3/5/12 they will increase to $475.00 and $575.00 respectively. Full-time students may register at the deeply discounted rate of $125 (members) or $175 (non-members) thru 3/5/12. One day registration rates are available. Registration fees are the major source of funding for the Conference.
Presenter Information
Conference Proceedings
  • The conference proceedings will be placed on the AWRA website at the time of the conference. It will not be published in a CDROM or print version. Both oral and poster presenters are encouraged to submit a paper.
  • Papers must be uploaded by Jan. 30 to allow time for review and revision (contact Pat Reid, pat@awra.org, if you need more time). Once it is reviewed you will receive an email indicating whether or not corrections are needed. The final version of the paper is due to the AWRA website no later than Feb. 27.  Should you not want to do a paper you can submit your abstract in place of it using the same instructions as for papers
  • All presenters must register for the conference by March 5 - this is a requirement for inclusion in the proceedings. Authors registering after this date risk removal of their paper from the proceedings.
  • Paper length - up to 6 pages (10 megs maximum), using Microsoft Word (.doc) on the template provided (link below). Presenters who do not want to submit a paper can have their original abstract in the proceedings. Should you not want to do a paper you can submit your abstract in place of it using the same instructions as for papers.

Conference Registration
  • All presenters will be responsible for their conference registration fees, hotel accommodations, travel expenses, etc. Please register (including Purchase Orders) by March 5.
  • Early-bird registration fees will be $425 (members) and $525 (non-members) up until 3/5/12. After 3/5/12 they will increase to $475.00 and $575.00 respectively.   • If you have a paper in the proceedings we must have your registration 3/5/12 or the paper will be removed from the proceedings. You can register three ways: online at the AWRA website  or by fax and mail using the mail-in form pdf.
