Snowbird, Utah is in the heart of the Wasatch-Cache National Forest in Little Cottonwood Canyon, one mile down canyon from Alta. Snowbird’s base elevation, at the Snowbird Center, is 8,100 feet. Snowbird’s highest point is at Hidden Peak, where the tram docks—a whopping 11,000 feet. All conference functions will be held at Snowbird Ski & Summer Resort.   It is a large, four seasons resort with plenty of space for networking, private meetings, social events with outstanding meeting rooms.

Rooms at The Cliff Lodge (part of the Snowbird Resort) may be reserved through the hotel, at the discounted rate of $119.00 single/double.

PLEASE NOTE: If you register online you will be required to pay for the whole stay at that time. If you call the 800 number to make a reservation you can guarantee your stay with a one night deposit. Snowbird's cancellation policy is 48 hours prior to arrival.

Travel

Airport shuttles may be arranged through Snowbird Central Reservations (800-453-3000) up to 48 hours prior to arrival.  The 2011 fees for AWRA attendees will be $52.00 per person, plus driver gratuity.  Walk-ups are accepted on a space available basis at the Canyon Transportation desk located in the baggage claim area of the Salt Lake City International Airport. Cancellations received within 48 hours of arrival are non-refundable. Canyon Transportation will provide transportation on hourly departures between 6:00 am – 11:00 pm. All reservations need to be prebooked 48 hrs prior to the start of conference. Attendees arriving without a reservation will be charged the Canyon Transportation published rate of rate $35.00 one way. Or $70.00 R/T.  Service will be provided for 1 hour departures or full vans of  8 passengers on arrival. The Salt Lake International Airport is 29 miles from Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort. If traveling by freeway, it takes approximately 40-45 minutes to reach Snowbird from Salt Lake City.
