Membership Types and Benefits

The membership of AWRA represents every aspect of the water resources profession. In addition to the members from the United States, there are members from over 40 other nations.

Membership is granted upon approval of a formal application as provided by the Association's Constitution and Bylaws. Prospective members should submit a completed application to the Association's Headquarters Office.

Membership Descriptions

Regular Member (Join) $165/yr

Individuals interested in any aspect of water resources shall be eligible to become a Regular Member of the Association. Note: All Regular Memberships must be in the name of an individual. For more information read our brochure on Regular Membership .

Online Only Member (Join) $135/yr

Individuals interested in any aspect of water resources shall be eligible to become an Online Only Member of the Association. Note: All Online Only Memberships must be in the name of an individual. For more information read our brochure on Online Only Membership .

Student Member (Join) $30/yr

A full-time student engaged in the study of any aspect of water resources at a college or university is eligible to be a Student Member for a maximum of three years. Endorsement of the Application by a faculty member is required. Note: All Student Memberships must be in the name of an individual. For more information read our brochure on Student Membership .

Transitional Member (Join) $100yr

Transitional members receive all the benefits of Regular Members, however, at a reduced rate. AWRA realizes those who have made the transition from student to a professional career may not be able to afford full membership dues. The Transitional Membership was created with them in mind. One is eligible for Transitional Membership for two years after graduation and must be a former AWRA student member. AWRA Student Members are automatically upgraded to Transitional Member status after 3 years of becoming a Student Member. For more information read our brochure on Transitional Membership .

Associate Member (Join) $500/yr (single office) - $2000/yr (enterprise)

Business firms, corporations, associations, educational institutions, and federal, state, provincial, local or tribal governments are eligible for Associate Membership. Associate Members may choose to join as a single office, department, or location, or they may choose to join enterprise-wide. Associate Membership.

Retired Member (Join) $82.50/yr

Retired Membership is available to any person who is no longer professionally employed (including self employment). For more information. For more information read our brochure on Retired Membership .

International Electronic Member (Join) $25/yr

For those who are both citizens and residents of developing nations, you receive the same electronic access as regular AWRA members, including on-line access to JAWRA and IMPACT, and discounts for products and services.
