Water Day Tribute by The Colbert Report
In his inimitable way, Stephen

"For me, the cinema
is not a slice of life, but a piece of cake."
Alfred Hitchcock
Remember when I proposed the
WaterDance Film Festival to
help get us (me) through February? I provided you
all with a list of 29 films -- one for each miserable
day -- in which water plays an important role either as
setting, protaganist or antagonist, supporting cast,
metaphor, symbol, or allegory. You all responded
with your ideas and added to my list. One person
suggested that I post
WaterDance on a blog so the
conversation about water-themed movies could move beyond
one-to-one emails between me and you.
Now that AWRA has a blog, I have done just
that! Check out my
WaterDance post on the AWRA Water
Blog. To be sure, my post is
pure fluff. But, hey, fluff got me through
February, and it keeps us smiling! Anyway,
once you're there, read through the other great posts on
important water resources topics of the day by some of
AWRA's greatest thinkers. Make a comment and join
the conversation!
Best,
