2022 Annual Water Resources Conference

AWRA is hosting its 2022 Annual Water Resources Conference this November 7-9 in Renton (Seattle area), Washington.

IMPORTANT: In order to receive important communication from the AWRA Team about your conference participation, you must add [email protected], [email protected], and [email protected] to your safe sender list.

To register with an existing AWRA account, log in to the right by entering your AWRA username and password, and click the "Register Myself" button towards the bottom of the page. If you do not have an AWRA account, click "Create a new account" under Sign In above. Then click the "Register Myself" button towards the bottom of the resolved page.
 
Full registration rates include all sessions on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday; access to exhibits, refreshment breaks, and the Conference Awards Luncheon on Wednesday. One day conference registration rates include the sessions, breaks, receptions, or lunch for the registered day only. To attend only a workshop, select the radio button for that workshop(s). To attend the conference AND a workshop, select the radio button for the conference registration AND then add the workshop(s) under the "Program" options.

  • Student Full Registration (Member / Non-member):
    • Super Saver - September 7: $250 / $300
    • Early Bird - September 8 - October 19: $300 / $350
    • October 20 - Onsite: $350 / $400
  • NOTE: Students must email their student ID and verification of their full-time student status to [email protected] in order to receive the student rate. The verification must contain how many credit hours the student is currently enrolled.
  • One Day Registration (Member / Non-member & Gateway):
    • Super Saver - September 7: $300 / $500
    • Early Bird - September 8 - October 19: $350 / $550
    • October 20 - Onsite: $400 / $600
  • NOTE: Students registering for one-day pay the applicable rate above. There is not a discounted one-day student rate.

REGISTRATION NOTE & CANCELATION POLICY

AWRA Code of Conduct 

All conference participants (presenters, moderators, panelists, attendees, etc.) must adhere to the AWRA Code of Conduct and must register at the appropriate registration rate. AWRA Gateway members are not eligible for discounted conference rates. The registration fees are the major source of funding for the Conference, and the sharing of registrations is prohibited - every person attending the conference must register. For presenters, if two or more individuals will be presenting, each individual must register for the conference. This includes: all technical session presenters; all panel session presenters; and all poster session presenters.

Cancelations must be made in writing. We can transfer your registration to someone else by October 19, 2022. Those cancelations received by October 19, 2022 will be subject to a processing fee of 25% of total fees. No refunds will be given after October 19, 2022. If you test positive for COVID-19 three days prior to or on the first day of the conference, AWRA will issue a credit* to your account less a 25% processing fee after the conclusion of the conference. *A note from your physician must be provided to AWRA in order to receive the credit. Abstract submission fees are nonrefundable. Refunds will be processed after the conclusion of the conference.

Description
To provide attendees with the knowledge to effectively utilize the latest CE-QUAL-W2 model to perform two-dimensional water quality modeling and analysis in support of reservoir and riverine water quality, environmental impact assessment, and ecosystem restoration projects. The workshop is designed for practicing engineers and scientists in consulting engineering, city, state and federal agencies, research organizations, and academic institutions.

This hands-on training session is designed for engineers and scientists involved in modeling and decision support for water resources applications. The focus will be on dynamic simulation and modeling techniques for incorporating uncertainty and evaluating the risk and reliability of water resources.

*Participate for a cause! All proceeds will be donated to AWRA for student scholarships.* Lunch is provided.

This workshop is for anyone working with streamflow time-series where the classic properties of magnitude, frequency, duration, timing, and change-in-flow (a.k.a. flashiness) are important to quantify. Specifically, the workshop will give an overview of autocorrelation lag(k) plots and their conventional use. The discussion will then transition to sequence summations and how these values are tied to streamflow properties.
