It's AWRA's annual call for volunteers! Attend one of our upcoming meetings, after the conference, to learn about AWRA Technical Committees. There are five committees who meet regularly, host webinars, design specialty conferences and conference sessions, produce special reports, and develop policy statements for the Board. See the description of each committee below and join us for the virtual meeting. Dates and times of meetings will be announced as they are finalized. Zoom meeting registration links will be posted for your ease of joining the committee(s) that interest you the most.
Future Risk Committee
This committee focuses on developing strategies to adapt the changes and mitigate the risks of an increase in runoff, flooding, sea level rise, and drought that threaten urban development and our ecosystem.

Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) Committee
This committee fosters an ongoing conversation about how to make Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) the standard practice in water resources management across the country.

Policy Committee
This committee provides help to the AWRA Board in taking a national and international leadership role in the area of water‐resource policy and translates scientific work into a format for action that public decision-makers can use as they formulate water policy.

Research to Application Committee
This committee brings together and support a diverse, multidisciplinary community that advances research, education, and management matters related to water resources. This is accomplished by promoting the study, planning, forecasting, monitoring, and the use and protection of these water resources.

Technology Committee
This committee engages AWRA members in defining the role of technology in water resources by using comprehensive and collaborative approaches that take full advantage of available data services, analytic tools, and cross-discipline program coordination.
